Metropolitan museum of art

Hello everyone!
We had a wonderful class trip. It was in the Metropolitan museum of art. In there we saw a lot of artworks. They had statues, painting, and other figures of art. Some of them are about certain culture and some are made because of interest and curiosity. In this trip i learned many things. Specially i learned about the Islamic mosaics. They are pretty beautiful and guide explained what it means. They day Islamic mosaics are blue color and it has flowers in it to show that the masque is a beautiful and peaceful place. Also in Iran they don't have much water because its desert so wild life is rare and the weather is dry and the mosaic is there to show the nice things that god created and that it makes them feel better just by looking at it.

We also learned about pixels and pix-cells. They are interesting. Pix-cells is an animal that is covered by round marbles and they are in different sizes. Also there was this painting where the painter had to draw a picture by pixels which was amazing and it was probably hard. They did it by their own hand and now in modern days pixels are used everywhere. In our phone. TV and other electronic devices. we also learned about how the colors effect a picture and different shape of tools bring different effects. We can use this in our visual designing class. We work with color and edit pictures this is one of the most crucial subject in visual designing. After seeing many pictures and the variety of colors that shows different effect we can use that to improve our creation.

I loved going to the museum. It was my first time going to metropolitan museum. I have seen other things that is similar to this museum in my country but over here most of the work is not locked in glass. I also liked how the whole class was enjoying and it was fun. My favorite part was that we get to discuss about each artwork and share our opinion but i hated to stand up and walk for the whole time we were in museum. I would take my parents to see the museum

because there are certain things that i think they should know but they don't know and so i can explain the importance of the works that happened in the past. The modern map is slight different then the paper map. If you zoom in the map there are more details pop up in the image.

CTE EXPO

Hello Everyone!
We had a wonderful day during the CTE EXPO. CTE EXPO is a way to introduce the freshmen students to the CTE academy. We show them our work that we have done and try to persuade them to join the best CTE Academy which is Web Designing. CTE EXPO is important because freshmen get to choose their favorite class and we get to learn our interviewing skills and practice. During the CTE EXPO freshmen come and we have to explain our project  and how the class system works so they get excited to join the class. For me Nothing was really wrong I was shy for the first few minutes and after that i got over it. Also this year the freshmen are rude and shy. They show no interest in the class. I tried to talk to them first. I kept eye contact and I shook every person i met and talked to. This is good because this shows that you are not nervous and it's also a great way to start a conversation. Personally The CTE EXPO helps me in many ways. Like it gave me an opportunity to practice my interviewing skills which i will be needing in future when i need a job or when i am going to for something. Also It taught us how to work as a team. Like I talk to a freshmen and then i hand that freshmen to one of the juniors or seniors so they have a chance to go to the juniors or seniors and talk to them.

Hour of code.

Hello everyone.
In the hour of code weak we learned how to code and the basic information needed to code.  Which was pretty fun. We also had a meting in the library. We had workers from facebook, twitter and other big companies. They came up to us and asked questions and gave out prizes. we also learned the how important coding is. Also The freshmen class came in to visit us and we had to explain what is coding and how does it really work. It was pretty fun!

Workshop 4. Job interview.

Hello Everyone.

In workshop 4 we had a conversation about job interview. They told us important information. Like what questions to ask and what questions to avoid. Also how should we dress and hygiene. We also learned that do not interrupt when an elder is talking. They also said if your hand sweats or its cold go to the restroom and clean your hand. Dry it up. Because people gets nervous. 

Workshop 3, Job right.

Hello!
For workshop 3 we had a whole big group talk about job safety. And those conversation was important. Because in future we will get jobs so we must know our rights, We should also know what to do or what not to do in dangerous situation. Also they told us what is required to get a job and the time schedule for different ages.

Project 4 reflection journal.

Hello everyone!

This is probably the last blog for this semester. It was fun in web designing. We learned a lot about photoshopping and in the end we learned about InDesign which was pretty cool. We made our own logo and Business card. 

Our visiting card project was really fun and interesting. We got to learn “InDesign” it’s a software made by the photoshop company. It was pretty similar to photoshop. They had similar layout and some of the same tools that we used in photo shop. This project was intense as well. Because it’s a new software and many of us were confused what to do with the new tools and how does it work. Also we found out that we need to make 9 visiting cards with three logos in different design. But it was fun at the end.

So for this project We had to use the basic tools of photoshop. We had to use brush tool, Quick selection tool, crop tools and many more. But those are the key tools. So for this project i created 3 business cards. One of them is for Visual design, doctoring and art studio. It was pretty fun how we had to re arrange the cards for different design. This is important because in the future if we open a business or a brand we need business card so people can find us and our contact information. And in future we might make logos for ourselves but now if we get a job to make business cards we can and we will get hired because we know all the components and what to do to create a professional business card.

In the end we had to put our work on a hard board  so we can present the project. We also had to answer few question, give an introduction and explain the basic needs for a business card.

Project 3 Reflection journal

Hello Everyone!

In project 3 we had to fix an old picture that was almost destroyed. We had to restore the picture. It was hard but its really important and helpful. For this project we mostly used all the photo editing tools. So first I restore the background using the healing brush tool. Then i fixed the eyes. For the eyes i used the patch tool so i copied the eyes. and then i carefully fixed the hair with healing brush tool. then i fixed the face with the same tool. My final edit came out much better then the original picture.

This project is very important. Now that we have experienced how to restore a picture we can work on our personal picture and we need this skill in future. If we get hired for photoshopping these skills are must required to restore the picture. And this project was fun too. People we confused and they were in panic but it was really fun in the ed. The final effect came out really nice and better then the original picture.
